DaXian X999 is a HiPhone Killer
20 02 2008The DaXian X999 doubles the fakery and ups the ante on the C-002 HiPhone bringing not only WinMo to an iPhone casing but TouchFLO 3D navigation, developed by HTC.
Though the current photos show simplified Chinese UI, the DaXian X999 will be updated to an English UI upon purchase. For $346 you will get an unlocked iPhone clone that runs Windows Mobile 6, not the first iPhone clone with WinMo 6 but definitely the first with a 3D touch navigation putting it ahead of the HiPhone, the most popular iPhone clone to date, based on the amount of Google traffic coming in to our relevant post. It has a 3.2-inch screen, slightly smaller than the HiPhone’s, operates on GSM/ GPRS networks and uses a TI OMAP850 200MHZ CPU with 128MB of RAM. It comes with a 2 built-in 2MP camera (one in front and one in the back) and support for Pocket Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). You can attach a GPS receiver and enjoy the X999’s E-Map. Needless to say it supports MP4 and MP3 files as well as games.
The video and the complete specs (note that there is no WiFi) after the break.

i did some research and the icons on the d800i are really like the iphone’s… the daxian x999 iphone’s are not… also, only the D800i is tri-band which means it is for the USA… the other iClones are mostly all dual band so be careful when you buy from other sites… That being said, the D800i is tri-band but if you are with ATT, some places in the U.S. are 850mhz meaning it is not supported…. i got mine today and it works great.. i got mine from here… http://www.gadgetgreats.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=781&HS=1

basically a copycat winCE 6 PDA device, stole a little from defunct Palm and borrow a little from iPhone… isn’t really any innovation improvement. The touch screen still pretty much not so responsive and rely on stylus. If one try iPhone for awhile, these winCe devices wll become like a piece ancient piece of junk an waste of money. I am going to wait for Linux version release.
