The S5 (no relation to Samsung’s PMP) from Ilife Technology (no relation to Apple’s software products) is a decent-looking device that packs support for AVI, 3GP and FLV videos, MP3, WMA, WAV, ADPCM and FLAC audio files, and (we assume) various image formats. Better yet, it also plays nice with NES, SNES, GB, GBC and Sega games via emulator.
Incorporating a 2.4-inch TFT display, the S5 has a speaker, USB 2.0 port and a slot for unspecified memory cards. Compatible with Windows SE, ME, 98, 2000 and XP, Apple OS X and Linux 2.4.2 operating systems, it measures 102×50x12mm. Not too shabby, all things considered.

[...] MAXCONSOLE - MaxConsole - Portable media player with built in NES/SEGA/SNES/GB/GBC emulator News Forums Downloads News Archive Forums Tutorials Reviews Downloads Trainers Products posted by malloc at 02:35 pm on 2008-02-22 Portable media player with built in NES/SEGA/SNES/GB/GBC emulator ILife Technology have created a portable Media Player that supports AVI, 3GP and FLV videos, MP3, WMA, WAV, ADPCM and FLAC audio files and loads of image formats. More interestingly, it also has a built in emulator for NES/SEGA/SNES/GB/GBC games. The unit has a dpad on it, which should come in handy, but we’re not sure about the position of the other buttons for gaming. The unit incorporates a 2.4-inch TFT display and measures 102?50×12mm. There aren’t many release details about the gizmo but will probably only be available in China. News Source: pmptoday [...]
