Lucky Ireland must have had a four-leaf clover or two up its sleeve, as it gets to be only the third country in Europe (fourth in the world) to get the iPhone. Dropping on March 14, it will be exclusively available through O2 and Carphone Warehouse. Prices are €399 ($600) for the 8GB and €499 (US$750) for the 16GB model.

To supplement this, the carrier will be offering three new tariffs, which range from €45 for 175 minutes to €100 for 700 minutes. All include anytime minutes, texts and a 1GB data bundle.

But if I’m not mistaken there are four countries in Europe with the iPhone (five in the world). England, Germany, France and now Ireland. Or not??
