MPIO V10 Touchscreen PMP
9 03 2008MPIO is known in this website as a manufacturer of PMPs with quite amusing designs, and it comes as no surprise that one of their players was voted one of the worst DAP of 2007 by CNET. MPIO’s most recent model, however, might just vindicate the company. Sure, the V10 is a Cowon Q5 wannabe but design similarities from the Q5 aside, the V10’s 3-inch (480 x 272) touchscreen and more than capable multimedia support (WMV, Divx, Xvid, MPEG-4, H.264, VOB, MP3, WMA, Ogg, AAC will surely win over a lot of people from more expensive alternatives. Of course, besides having an FM tuner, voice recorder and an e-Dictionary, this Windows CE 5.0 device’s good quality ends at cool GUI and you can use it with a guitar pick, which in my opinion is cooler than using your fingers. It’s an awesome user interface, indeed, without copying iPhone.

Well, I don’t think it’s a Q5 but more like a D2
