Velocity Mobile Launches Two Phones at CTIA

1 04 2008

Velocity Mobile is the newest brand in the mobile phone market and it marked its debut at the CTIA with two very interesting Windows Mobile phones. The Velocity 103 and Velocity 101 will both run on WinMo 6.1 and use a touchscreen interface. Both phones have GSM, 3G, HSDPA and HSUPA and WiFi connectivity. Both phones are also GPS-enabled. I suppose this justifies the brand name “Velocity Mobile,” but I’m curious if VM will continue focus on smartphones with high-speed access

Velocity 111 has a QWERTY keyboard and typical looks you would normally associate with business models. The Velocity 103 screams multimedia with a 640×480 VGA screen. Other specifications both phones have i common are TV Out, a Qualcomm Mobile Station Modem™ (MSM™) MSM7201™ chipset, 256MB ROM, 128MB RAM Bluetooth 2.0 and MicroSD slot. The 103 will be release Q2 and the Velocity 111 on Q3.
