They’re calling this a breakthrough device, a PMP with WiFi and supports mobile TV. But that’s not the breakthrough yet for this HD (up to 160GB) MP5 Player (a PMP in China that supports RealMedia). The MV5920, due to its dual-core technology no doubt, also supports video playback at HD 720p (1280 x 720 pixels), although I am not sure that 60fps is supported as well, but wouldn’t it be awesome if it did? Of course we want nothing more than to review or have some do a review of the HDTV playback on this new Patriot MP5, but for now we’ll take Aigo’s word for it. One can be yours for 2,999 yuan or about $429.

It’s for multimedia lovers, really. They can use it to store all their multimedia files and with the DVR functionality, sky’s the limit. Aigo should add a 250GB option like Newman did with the M8000. The only problem is firmware upgrades. Most Chinese manufacturers don’t care to upgrade.

Although nice. But i also worry about the firmeware.

Wow, i have been a PMP user for more than a year, and never knew this was here…
i have questions about HD viruses just like any other drive.
Does anybody really have a safe system?
I have two devices that are gone because of something they picked-up in corrupt mp3s or vids.
There has to be some sort of protection plan with a major anti-virus software company to sell me anything new.
Oh, and the 1 year warranty has to go; it should be at least 3 from now on…PLEASE
