There’s no fixed date yet, but Chinese manufacturer Chuwi plans to release touchscreen PMPs that may revolutionize both touchscreens and players. As we all know, there are two types of touchscreens: capacitive and resistive, duh. Capacitive is better and offers more sensitivity but they are oh-so pricey. Chui has a different solution:
Dual cover technology applications in the industry is the first time, according to Chi, the technology can greatly improve the resistance of the sensitivity of touch screen, is about ordinary resistive touch screen sensitivity of 2 times! Manipulation in the process of closer capacitive sensitivity.
Chui also promises PMPs with features that can match other PMPs in the market. If they mean WiFi, TV tuner and GPS, we’re definitely living in very interesting times.
