For those Adobe Flash ActionScript programmers out there (you know who you are), this machine appears to run a little-known version of the Flash player called Amuse developed by a Chinese company called WRTIME Information Technology.
http://www.wrtime.com/china/index.html
The company’s site (a mix of Chinese and English) claims to be able to run Flash programs faster than standard Flash players and to do so on small devices without a lot of power or memory resources.
I contacted the company and they mentioned something about a required chipset, so it may be that their solution is at least partially hardware-based, but I’m not completely sure.
They say that they have developed their own IP for the technology without infringing on Adobe’s tech. Of course, Adobe plans to let other companies make their own players, but that’s not scheduled to happen until the next version is released after the current version in development is released.
If WRTIME’s solution is hardware-based, then that sounds similar to the strategy that NEC is working on and has stated will be released in August ‘08. Both WRTIME and NEC claim speed-improvements with their respective technologies.

The MyRacer/Westrend device apparently can run user-installed Flash programs approaching desktop version 8 in terms of capability, which would seem to give it at least the capabilites of Flash Lite version 2.0 or maybe even 3.0. However, I have not personally confirmed this.
