Newman has a treat for us this summer. It’s a simple MP3 player (no fancy video-playing codec or camera added) in a sophisticated form factor (103 × 34 × 13mm; weighs 28g). Look to the side of the RV30, it’s all shiny buttons, perfectly raised for the ultimate tactile goodness. For good measure, there’s a small screen for navigation. Hopefully, it also support other languages than Mandarin. It plays MP3 and WMA, powered by 2 AAA batteries! There are 3 built-in speakers, which record high-quality audio and if you connect this to your phone, it can record telephone conversations as well. Still no idea how they do that, though. It’s available in 1GB and red and silver colors for 499 yuan ($73).
