MP4nation is right on, calling the Ainol V3000 a killer PMP. If Ainol won’t change its mind about the specs (some Chinese manufacturers do), we’ll have a PMP that can kick all other PMPs out the window, including the RAmos T8 with the same-size screen.
You see, Ainol is not merely offering a big 4.3-inch screen, it will in fact also introduce a 800×480-pixel screen resolution, unheard of in the Chinese portable player market.
The Ainol V3000 will support AVI, RM/RMVB and FLV and add to that is TV Out, which may not really be necessary for a viewing screen this big. Ainol also hints on the possibility that the V3000 will have Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS and the like. Most likely it will be a cheaper, less-featured player with a retail price of $100 or thereabouts. (I’d pay up to $200 for the announced 800 x 480-pixel resolution and direct support for video codecs mentioned.) Yep, this could be the perfect cheap gadget this year.

Then I guess that my Cowon A3*, which was released last year**, is either a fantasy or I have been sold a dodgy product. I could have sworn that the Cowon Q5W*** also offered 800×480 resolution, but that must be untrue as well.

I suppose that my Archos 605 WiFi which is released last year with its 4.3″ 800×480 display is also a fantasy
Well, it is a French product, but it has a “Made in China” sticker on its bottom side. I think that Archos products could be found in China under Ai Keshi brand.

Dear Editor,
I am afraid the resolution of 800×480 is what the video codec can support , instead of the physical pixels of the TFT screen.
If anybody feels confused , then think about your TFT monitor, with resolution of 1024×768 as default setting, you can display images at 8000×8000 pixels.
The actual resolution of 4.3″ TFT maybe 480×272, keep informed that SONY PSP features a high-quality TFT LCD that displays full color (16.77 million colors) on a 480 x 272 pixel high-resolution screen. But it supports 1080P output via HDMI
AV out. Can we say the screen resolution is 1920×1080?

Does anyone know what chipset is used here- Injenic, Rockchip, ADI, etc..?
This will clear up the confusion.
