We’ve been looking forward to the release of the iRiver’s SPINN PMP. The hardware is the most unique we’ve seen in a while and also among the most attractive (this iRiver clone before the SPINN release is proof of that). Before the official release, iRiver fans are in for some disappointment. That the SPINN will use an AMOLED screen is confirmed good news, but the lack of memory extension whether it’s miniSD or microSD is a real downer. It will be thicker than the mock up shown to the public. Even bigger disappointments: non-removable battery with less capacity, very expensive.
These are the features we can cofirm for now: large 3.2-inch AMOLED screen, Bluetooth 2.0, 3D acceleration chip, support for Flash, FM/ DMB/ DAB tuners and new SPINN interface.

No SD slot is bad bad bad. The battery is just more bad news.
