Apple iPod, Rumors

ipod-touch-21.jpg

The iPhone 2.1 firmware will not only improve the turn-by-turn function of iPhone 3G’s GPS, it also gives us a clue about a future development in Apple’s iPod Touch… iPod Touch 2.1. The iPhone began as 1.1 and is now on its second iteration, 1.2, and using the same sequence, we are on pins and needles as to what iPod Touch 2.1 would be like. I really hope they add GPS and a camera.

I’m very curious about the price considering that the new very low priced iPhone has it’s price subsidised by AT&T. You would think that this product should cost less than the new iPhone but is that even possible for them to do and still maintain a decent profit margin?

If Apple added a camera and GPS to iPod touch 2.1, it would take sales away from the iPhone. Apple really isn’t that stupid.
