While the price is yet to be confirmed, the specs, on the other hand, of the Sylvania G netbook are now available. A quick rundown of its features include an 8.9-inch LED backlit display with max resolution of 1024×600, 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor, 512MB/1GB RAM, 80GB HDD, Wi-Fi (b/g), integrated webcam, card reader and a choice of Ubuntu Netbook Remix or Win XP Home Edition as OS. Though the $299 price is not definite yet, it is their target price so we’re hoping that it won’t stray that far off the mark. It doesn’t look quite as sharp as the HP Mini Note or the Acer Aspire One, but for that price, I’m willing to look past aesthetics over budget and performance.
