OPPO may be competing with Nintendo and Sony soon with a slider gaming PMP with a swiveling screen. It’s still pretty much on the drawing board and to tell the truth we’ve seen this design before. What OPPO has in abundance, though, based on the photo above, is screen space. If they could manage a WVGA resolution on there and enough processing power to emulate all the gaming platforms that can be emulated using today’s mass market technology, I think I might be tempted to bit.

This looks like a really slick unit indeed! Now for the hard truth. Oppo and others will never sell this item in the west (North America, Europe, etc…) as long as it has a gaming emulator on it. While there may still be questions about whether or not gaming emulators can be legally sold in an embedded fashion like this, the game ROMs are illegal to sell.
