Asus Eee PC/ mini notebook

Sylvania g MESO

The Sylvania g netbook got a more specific model name as well as a release date and a tentative price. Dubbed as the Sylvania g MESO, this 8.9-inch display equipped model retains most of the features we discussed earlier such as the 512MB/1GB RAM, 80GB HDD and option to go Linux or Windows, but the price is now a higher at $399. The slated release date is August, and based on the pictures above, it looks like it’ll be available in four colorful variants.

Another model, the Sylvania g MAGNI which comes with a bigger 10-inch display, is expected to come out in September. Hopwever, no further details were given with regards to specs and pricing.

With the impending release of these new models, the netbook bandwagon is truly getting more crowded, and as they say, more competition leads to better pricing. I’m just hoping that the same is true when it comes to performance and quality.
