The VX787 from ONDA sure looks a lot like its predecessor, the VX777. It’s a 4.3-inch 272 x 480-pixel player with no WiFi but this time ONDA makes it a capacitive touchscreen. We’ll be waiting for the video review of the VX787. For now, just imagine the UI is way more responsive than the VX777 UI. The 8GB VX787 will probably retail for USD$120-140 and the player does support video playback at 30fps. And oh, rumor has it that the UI will incorporate and iTunes-like coverflow, so stay tuned.

That comment made literally laugh my rear end off. The player has a 4.3 inch something on a 272 x 480 *INCH* player which is beyond absurd! 272 x 480 inch??? That’s around 6.90 x 12.19 *METERS*(!!!) for us metric types. So that sentence means that a 4.3 inch something (screen obviously) is mounted on a nearly 7 x 12 meter player which covers an astonishing 84 square meters! Isn’t there any error/fact checking before stories are posted?

Ok, the 272X480 is obviously the pixel resolution of the 4.3″ LCD.
Touchscreen and cover art definitely make this a contender!

Where can we get a 16G vx787, (16G meaning not an 8G * 8G) in the USA via Credit Card or Money Order ONLY. No paypal period.
And an aside question, does anyone know if the 3000ma battery (30 hour audio 10 hour video 15+ with screen off) from the vx767 will work in the vx787?
