iPhone Applications

Flixwagon

Here’s another app that’ll put more functionality into the iPhone’s camera than just taking pictures. Flixwagon has just released their latest version that’s compatible with the 3G iPhone and 2.0.1 software. With a frame rate of 12 frames per second, you’ll be able to shoot smooth video effortlessly. Is it too good to be true? Well, it’s good enough for MTV to use it to broadcast the Jonas Brothers’ tour last weekend which garnered over 6 million video streams in 36 hours.

Great! So where can I get it?

You do need to jailbreak your iPhone first, but unlike Qik, you don’t need to sign-up elsewhere to get it activated. You can find it in both Cydia and Installer. It’s located under the Multimedia folder or iSpazio directory if available.

Registration

Once you download and install the app, just enter your phone number when it’s requested and you’ll receive an SMS containing your user name and password. You can later edit it through their website.

Edit prefernces

Aside from shooting video, you can likewise edit the title and details of your video as well as set the viewing preferences. If you’re still using 1.1.4, the old version is still available for you enjoyment.
