AllPMP says it has iPhone 3G units available that are not locked to any network. Their iPhone 3Gs come from Hong Kong and Italy are 100% legal and 100% officially unlocked. You can update to iPhone 2.0.1 software without any problems, though that remains to be seen. Price tag? $1250 for the 16GB.

I would not trust this. First, $1250 for a 16GB iPhone is highway robbery. But as PT Barnum said, there’s a sucker born every minute.
Second, Now that Apple officially announced their Killswitch ability, who knows how long the iPhone would remain working after you bought it? They say that they are 100% legal but do you really believe that?

In India, you getting unlocked 8 GB iPhone 3G for INR. 29,000/- that is around US$625/-. It is fully unlocked and functional. Have tried using the same with three different service providers and works like a charm.

Hi I just bought a 3G iphone unlocked (from Italy) in India. But when I upgraded to 2.1 software, it is asking for a valid sim to activate…
I was told it was legally unlocked by Apple.
What do I need to do to reactivate it?
