AT&T has the iPhone but T-Mobile will be releasing the first Android phone ever, officially the HTC Dream. The other good news is that release date will be as early as October. Android is an open source operating system for mobile phones developed by Google. The Android’s most desirable feature boils down to its uniqueness as an OS that puts third-party applications at the forefront:
“Android does not differentiate between the phone’s core applications and third-party applications. They can all be built to have equal access to a phone’s capabilities providing users with a broad spectrum of applications and services.”
