A UCI or user created interface made by a developer that goes by the name Coconut imitates the Apple iPod and iTune’s Cover Flow user interface. He’s now using this Cover Flow-like UI on his COWON D2 and constantly improves the interface. Coconut’s version of Cover Flow responds to stylus input. I don’t know if Apple should be worried. If Kevin Rose is correct that Apple will come out with a iTunes 8.0 soon, maybe a refresh of the Cover Flow is in order just so Apple can distance itself from independent programmers taking advantage of the open source codes of some device manufacturers.
