There have been some positive developments in the jailbreak front as of late with a number of updated versions being released. QuickPwn, which used to be Windows only, is now also available for the Mac. This version, however, does only firmware 2.0.2 unlike its Windows counterpart which now does all 2.x flavors. You can download the torrent here. Meanwhile, WinPwn 2.5 is out as well. This version will support 2.x firmware, and comes with basic/expert modes, installer support, an automatic updater, and a wizard style interface. Download it here. It took some time before this baby was released, but at least it’s out now. Remember, these are all jailbreaks. If you want to unlock, check this out.
So, finally, the jailbreaking tools available have reached status quo again providing both Mac and Windows users the respective apps needed to pwn their devices.
