It’s finally confirmed! The first Android phone will be launched on September 23. That’s this coming Tuesday and it will be at an event in New York City by T-Mobile. We’ve got every reason in the world to believe that it will be the HTC Dream, but we’re not closing our doors to the possibility that another phone model might take its place. After all, we’re not as excited about the phone itself as we are about the Android OS in it. Anyway, let’s wait until the launch date to find out what the official first Android-based handset will look like. Let the countdown begin!
