At first glance, the upcoming BlackBerry Javelin pretty much looks like the Bold, but make no mistake about it, it’s smaller and seemingly performs better than the Bold according to the guys at Crackberry who managed to get a hold of a pre-release unit. It’s got a fast 512MHz processor, 480×360 HVGA+ display that is by far the sharpest in the BlackBerry line, 3.5-megapixel camera with autofocus (another first) and flash, WiFi b/g with UMA, GPS, and microSD card support. Yup, no 3G here baby, but that also means it probably won’t be that expensive either.

As you can see in the side-by-side comparison, the Javelin pretty much smokes its sibling rivals in terms of size and design. It’s not exactly a replacement to the Bold, but rather an upgrade to the Curve and the Javelin does a pretty god job as one as it outperforms its predecessor in all areas.
Now, the only question is price and availability. Hopefully, it won’t be too long now.

This phone is amazing, pictures and video just don’t do this phone justice, the speed is amazing, and the screen is out of this world sharp, like going from tube to LCD HDTV, it rocks, my business partner got it, too bad only t-mobile (yuk) has it only, cant wait for at&t, sprint, and verizon to get it!
