The PMP with a killer screen has now been priced and it’s as expected: dirt cheap. The Ainol V3000 boasts a 4.3-inch viewing space with a resolution of 800 x 480 with 16 million colors. This is the best portable viewing experience you can get out of China (for a comparison of the Ainol V3000 with other high quality MP4 players, check this post out).
The V3000 has an FM tuner and transmitter, TV out and mic recording. The 4GB player will only set you back 699 yuan or $102. Not bad as an iPod replacement in these dire times.

If you go to Ainol’s website and click on the link for the English version, you’ll find it’s completely worthless except for a good laugh. In the top left corner, it says:
“Enjoy life. Enjoy Ainol.”

[...] For obvious reasons, we don’t get too excited about PMPs developed and produced entirely in China, but similar to Gemei’s lot, Ainol looks to have a winner on its hands with the V3000. We’ve seen this display-dominated unit prancing around for awhile now, but we’ve just now learned how much the company plans on charging for it: 699 Chinese yuan, or around $102 before haggling. For that, you’ll get 4GB of internal space, a 4.3-inch 800 x 480 resolution display, FM tuner, TV output and a rechargeable battery. Now, where to find one is the real challenge. [Via PMPToday] [...]
