MSI Wind gets overclocking support via BIOS v1.09 update

While externally netbooks can easily be differentiated from each other, looking at their internal machinery is a completely different story. With almost identical RAM, processor and storage capacity, the slightest difference in netbook specs will mean added performance and that winning edge over the competition. That’s what MSI is doing with the release of the latest BIOS v1.09 update for the MSI Wind that allows users to overclock their little netbook. By pressing FN+F10, you push speeds of 8%, 15% or 24% above normal levels.

Based on the experience of someone who has tried it out, the update allows up to a whopping 30% improvement in performance which would come in handy when playing games or just working with Photoshop. With a level playing field as far as processors go, overclocking may just do the trick for the MSI Wind to lord it over the rest of the netbook pack.
