Looking for the perfect gadget this Christmas? The Philips Luxe MP3 player-cum-cellphone headset. Philips Luxe feature Bluetooth 2.1 that can be paired with the cellphone so you will never miss a call while listening to music. It’s a brilliant take on technology trend that puts entertainment capabilities on a cellphone. For over five years now companies have been cramming music players and, later on, video players into cellphones but Philips is the first to explore the idea that a separate music player that nevertheless receives calls (via Bluetooth) would be the best way to keep your cellphone battery charged the entire day.
The Philips Luxe will launch in Singapore next month. It is priced cheaply at S$139 or about $94 USD. It also features an FM tuner and a strip of LCD that gives you the caller’s number. There’s only 2GB of memory onboard. The Philip Luxe will play 10 hours of music and the photo indicates that it will be first-class audio the user will be enjoying.
