New Products, Technology

Our friends at GenerationMp3 got a hold of a test unit f the Sony Rolly. The robotic MP3 player sells for 349 euros, not exactly cheap but it’s the most unique portable music device today. It can do complicated choreography synchronized to the audio playback. It’s Bluetooth enabled so it can connect to your PC. I wonder if the Rolly can’t act as your stand-in  when you can’t make it to a meeting. One of the wings can close and open in synch with what you’re saying. The Rolly will have 2GB of onboard memory. Movements come from software which can be downloaded from you PC and it can also mover reactively to the audio. In my opinion, we could be looking at a possible great granddaddy of the future R2D2.
