It’s not exactly a groundbreaking improvement, but it is nonetheless a welcome enhancement. The second generation Lenovo S10e will come preloaded with Splashtop, the quickboot Linux-based OS making life easier without Windows. Dubbed as the Quick Start once it hits the Lenovo netbooks, it will be the first time SplashTop will be used in an ultra-portable laptop which in the overall context of things, might not exactly be a major selling pint, but it does give average users a quick way to hook up to the web and access other basic features on the Lenovo S10. No word though if other Lenovo netbook models will be receiving the same upgrade, but we’re pretty optimistic of the future. In fact, I personally feel that all netbooks should come with this added convenience considering that they’re not the most powerful of the laptop bunch and will benefit from the faster boot speed of SplashTop.
