EA ready for Android: Tetris, Bejeweled and Monopoly confirmed

Phone, Portable Gaming, Software

EA is almost synonymous with gaming consoles, but with their partnership with Nokia for their N-gage platform, it seems that they want to be known for gaming itself and not be limited to hardware platforms. As a testament to this, they’ve also expressed their intent on creating games for the Android phone. Here’s what EA Mobile vice president Adam Sussman said about this new venture:

“Android is another exciting new platform to offer customers great games with enhancements like touch and tilt capabilities.”

Confirmed on the list is Tetris which will debut first with Bejeweled and Monopoly coming out in November. Pretty basic, but nonetheless, entertaining games, but what I’m waiting to hear about is when Need for Speed will be out for the Android phone. How about you guys? What games would you want to see available for the Android system?

Hey, it would be cool to play Monopoly sitting at Starbucks (or where ever) with people from across the world and maybe even talking to them at the same time if you felt like it but who knows, maybe I am expecting too much.
