When I first caught a glimpse of the new Dell Inspiron Mini 12, I immediately fell in love with its larger form factor providing a more decently sized keyboard and a more than adequate screen size. However, when I heard that Vista will be part of the bundle, my skepticism kicked in. Granted that the HP Mini Note 2133 ran on a Via processor and not an Intel Atom, I feel that Windows Vista is still too much for a netbook to be handled properly. Thanks to Laptop Mag’s review, my apprehension is now validated . While they praise the Mini 12 for its new design and improved battery life, they recommend you get either the Win XP or Ubuntu-flavored Mini 12 because it just isn’t the best configuration to run Windows Vista. How about Windows 7, perhaps, whenever that will become available?
