It looks like there’s more to the 2nd generation iPod Touch than meets the eye. Aside from the subtle design change and inclusion of hardware volume controls and built-in speakers, it apparently also got a processor speed upgrade, 532MHz to be exact. That roughly amounts to a 30% increase in speed which, safe to say, makes the 2G iPod Touch the fastest mobile device from Apple. It’s more versatile twin, the iPhone, maybe getting all the attention and praise from the public, but it seems that the 2G iPod Touch is the one who’s getting all the pampering from Apple the past several months. I guess I’m not alone in believing that the iPhone is long overdue for a capacity and processor upgrade.
