The COWON has released a new software development kit, which give developers the opportunity to make applications for the O2 PMP. The O2 has a 4.3-inch screen and looks like the big brother of the D2. Besides the usual video and music files support it has T-DMB TV, which is a Korea-only technology. A beta version of v1.14 software is also downloadable from the COWON site. You don’t need an O2 to test your app when you do make one with the inclusion of an emulator. Generation MP3 has posted the literature of the COWON SDK here. The COWON O2 developmental community will not be nearly as crowded as the iPhone but with the 4.3-inch screen and digital TV support, we’re betting this won’t be a vain move for the Korean PMP maker.
