The OLPC program may have been the one who envisioned a $100 laptop being released into the market, but Acer and RadioShack are the ones responsible for making it a reality. Well, sort of. RadioShack is now offering the Acer Aspire One for just $100 provided you sign up for an AT&T 2-yr minimum contract of $60/month. As you may have already guessed due to the AT&T tie-up, this isn’t just any ordinary run-of-the-mill Acer Aspire One. This is the 3G-capable Acer Aspire One version making it an ideal netbook for frequent travelers who just can’t get enough of the internet even when they’re on the road. With this very enticing offer, will other 3G-capable netbooks follow suit? One can only hope.
