We’ve already hear about several companies including Sony Ericsson, Samsung and LG planning to release their own Android-based handsets. Now, you can add Garmin into the picture. Word is that the company known for making navigational gadgets and mobile phones will be releasing their own Android phone during the second half of 2009. Not only can we expect the T-Mobile G2 to heat up the competition, but with Garmin now part of the mix, we’ve truly got an eclectic collection of Android phones to look forward to come next year. Sure, they may all have the same OS under the hood, but they’ll all be certainly adding their own twist and unique styling to edge each other out in the market. I’m just a little bit disappointed that most of them won’t be available until we pass the mid-point of 2009.
