For what it’s worth, the 2-megapixel camera of the iPhone does a pretty good job especially in adequate lighting, but what if you’re shooting at night or indoors with poor ambient light? Well, that’s where the Snapture Labs’ Xenon flash accessory would nicely come in once it becomes commercially available. It’s half camera accessory and half protective case as it provides a snug fit for the iPhone albeit protecting only half of it as well. What you’re looking at is only a prototype, but a version for both the 1G iPhone and iPhone 3G are already being developed.

More pictures after the break.
Unfortunately, no target release date was mentioned. Anyway, we’ll be keeping an eye on this one as it looks to be quite a promising add-on to the iPhone that mobile camera enthusiasts will surely love.
