Trying to start the new year off on the right foot, Samsung apparently is set to replace their outdate Samsung Soul U900 which was launched earlier this year with their brand new S8300 phone. The S8300 comes with the same anti-scratch and anti-fingerprint coated duraluminum case used in the Soul, but gets a fresh update in terms of feature set. An optical joystick and a brilliant 2.8-inch AMOLED touchscreen are expected to be headline the specs sheet of the S8300 along with 7.2Mbps HSDPA connectivity and an 8-megapixel CCD camera with autofocus. It’s expected to debut at CES next month in the US, but if it fails to make there, it will probably be showcased in MWC in Barcelona in February. It might not be as stylish and flashy as the Samsung Soul, but with its juicy feature set, I don’t mind the cut-back in aesthetics.

Big touch screen phones like S8300 are everywhere now but slider phone the Samsung U900’s beauty is classic. The U900 boasts great looks and 5mp camera and, magic touch which is the highlight of this phone. Except poor sunlight legibility this is a phone almost with no weakness.
