It looks like HP hasn’t completely given up on the design and form factor of the Mini Note 2133 as they have just announced the HP Mini 2140. With a slightly smaller display that measures in at 10.1-inches as opposed to the Mini 1000 which comes with a 10.2-inch display, the Mini 2140 is pretty much the same with the Mini Note 2133 albeit now coming with an Intel Atom processor and a bunch of OS options which include Windows XP Home/Pro, Windows Vista Basic/Premium, SuSe Linux and FreeDOS. You can likewise choose to get either an 80GB or 160GB equipped model. RAM maxes out at 2GB. Starting price for this the Mini 2140 is at $499.
This is one netbook I sure wouldn’t mind spending my hard-earned money on. It’s got the best features of the Mini Note 2133 and Mini 1000 all rolled into one beautiful package. Now don’t you wish you hadn’t hastily bought that Mini 1000 before Christmas and just waited for this one?
