Its predecessor, the Coby MP835, didn’t quite hit it off with the buying public either so it wouldn’t be much of a surprise if the poor showing of the MP836 at this year’s CES will result into much the same thing. What can one say about Coby’s touchscreen outings but that they’re Samsung P-series lookalikes. Engadget was pretty disappointed and unless Coby can release the MP836 with a much-improved user-interface and a very consumer-friendly price it’s another case of better luck next time.
