Haier is gearing up for a more serious entry into the portable player market. The iBiza Theater, besides supporting Rhapsody To Go, the company’s portable music service will play MPEG-4, AVI videos and MP3, WMA and Audible. If the sport version of the first iBiza Rhapsody player may does not do it for you, the touchscreen PMP plus Rhapsody portable player at these price points–$109.99 for the 8GB and $129.99 for the 16GB–should be tempting for anyone looking for a good iPod alternative. I think iBiza has really done something here. We still need a preview of the user interface but if done right, and with the pretty reasonable pricing, I say it’s a winner. Specs include Bluetooth and FM tuner. Coming in Q2 of this year.
