
While Apple is enjoying the stock market limelight after beating Wall Street expectations, Microsoft is reporting a decline in Zune revenue to the tune of $100 million compared to last year or about 54%. Microsoft may be thinking it’s about time to rethink Zune as a platform for hardware and content business. The social isn’t dead yet but pretty soon it won’t have much life either.

Revenue for the Zune might be down because of the recession, or it could be because people are afraid it will freeze up again next New Year’s Eve
