We’ve already heard about the Garmin Nuvifone before, and while it has made numerous appearances, it hasn’t quite made it to the market yet. However, that might all change now that Garmin and Asus have joined forces in producing this new line of mobile phones. Garmin will obviously be in-charge of the navigational software while Asus, with their vast experience in mobile phone biz, will take responsibility over the mobile phones aspect. The first model is the nuvifone G60 or what we used to just call the Nuvifone with another Garmin-Asus made phone rumored to debut at WMC. This new partnership likewise marks the end of Asus-only branded mobile phones. Considering that two heads working together is better than one, will this new tandem be the force to reckon with in 2009? We’ll wait for WMC to arrive first and see what they have to offer before we make any bold predictions on their future.
