More touchscreen PMPs and like many Korean and Chinese models they have DVB-T TV thrown in, and even WiFi. Hey! No pricing for these PMPs yet but if they have a good-enough user interface (it will run uCLinux OS) and a lower-than-average MSRP, I’d be thinking long ad hard about making one of these mine. It uses the 1.8-inch HDD, though there’s no capacity mentioned. Perhaps they’d bring out t least a 120GB version plus the SD/MMC slot. Screen size is 7 inches with a 800×480-pixel resolution. The versions are named for the color APA00 for black and APA01 for white. Most likely one of the better brand names in the PMP market will rebrand these devices and sell it with a competitive twist. But I think it’s good enough as it is.
The Compal APA00 and APA01 play MPEG 1/2/4, Xvid, WMV9, H.264 videos and MP3, WMA, MPEG1/2- Layer 1,2 /WAV(PCM) music.
