MWC ‘09 will be known for all the smartphone announcements, not least of which are Acer’s foursome WinMo 6.1 smartphones. The Tempo series will begin with the X960, M900, DX900 and the F900. All Tempo smartphones will run on Windows Mobile 6.1. and have touchscreens.

The Tempo M900 is the most fully featured of the set with a slideout QWERTY and a 5MP camera. Both the M900 and F900 have big 3.8-inch touchscreens, which of course spell iPhone-killing multi-media phones. Terrific connectivity on all four with WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0, SiRFstar III GPS and at least HSDPA. Three–M900, X960 and F900–have additional HSUPA connectivity…. In other words, Acer’s Tempo series will blow the minds of industry watchers and competitors. Oh, all screens of the Tempo phones are VGA or WVGA quality. Indeed!
