LG 12-megapixel camera phone in the works

While there was a rumor that a Samsung 12-megapixel phone was going to be revealed at MWC, the Sony Ericsson Idou 12-megapixel phone was the only such megapixel phone to be debuted at the said event. However, that doesn’t mean that they’ll be the only one to release a 12-megapixel phone this year. In fact, LG this early on has confirmed that a 12-megapixel phone is indeed in the works already though they failed to give any specifics as to what model it is or its other features. Here’s what Jeremy Newing, LG Mobile’s head of marketing in the UK, had to say:

“We’ll very much be releasing a 12MP cameraphone. However, it’s important that people realize when taking 12MP images, they’ll be using huge amounts of data, and it will be more difficult to do things like send such files.”

I think people already know about such consequences and I highly doubt that they’ll be doing any much sending with those photos anyway. What we’re more interested to know is when it’ll become available and how much will it cost. Hopefully, it won’t be too expensive.
