MSI X340, X600: Notebook or netbook?

msi-090223-01

Even though they have not released their X-Slim 320 yet, MSI has unveiled two new models to add to their X-Slim series: the X340 and X600. Both are based on Intel’s Centrino 2 processor and feature HDMI aside from the usual VGA output. The X340 comes with a 13.4-inch display and could be priced somewhere in the $699-$999 range while he X600, on the other hand, comes with a 15.6-inch display, an eSATA port, 2 USB ports, and will most likely be more expensive. No word yet on when these two will hit the market. Nonetheless, with their ultra-slim form factor, it makes you wonder though; are these regular notebooks packaged in a netbook body, or just high-end full-grown netbooks disguised as notebooks?
