We’ve been wondering when Samsung’s new P3 is going to be available. Unlike the new iPod nano, the Samsung P3 seems to take forever from announcement to release but we’ll only have to wait a little longer.

Journaldugeek has the scoop and they have a summary of features, including direct Xvid support:

• Support videos in AVI format without reencoding (XviD 800 × 600)
• Support for subtitles in SMI format
• A feature called “search mozaic, which makes it easy to find a scene in a video dividing into 16 small thumbnails
• Dictionary Korean / Chinese, but others should come out
• A memo image, a kind of notepad on which you can write and draw
• A 30% increase in player performance
• An effect DNSE Theater for videos
• A new display called “Album art mirror” to present the album
