You can now go on over to JetMall and and maybe think hard about buying a COWON D2+. It’s not the most fashionable PMP out there and not the cheapest either, but it is a COWON. No opitions for color, there is only black. Storage options are 8GB ($139.99) and 16GB ($179.99).

Looks better than the previous one (metallic inserts didn’t look that stylish). Howeveer, firmware cold have been reworked… But it seems it haven’t. I don’t see here neither WavPack support, nor support for APE compressed with maximum or insane compression methods. There’s also no support for 96kHz sound. Converting to 44kHz audio is not always applicable. That’s disappoinging, especially if you take into account that we already have A3 and O2 supporting hi-resolution sound and WavPack.
