Cydia, for the most part, is pretty enticing for those who wish to avail of free apps not offered in Apple’s App Store, but now, it seems that it will also be more appealing to developers as well. Word is that Cydia will be launching an app store of their own where paid apps will be offered which in turn will be a nice source of revenue for independent developers. A new jailbreaking service called Rock Your Phone as well as an adults-only app store is also set to launch too. When all of these will exactly happen is still yet to be known, but the pending proposal of the EFF to exempt jailbreaking from the Digital Millenium Copyrightrigh Act will no doubt play a significant role. As for the here and now, treat this bit of news as just a heads, but we can’t deny that we’ll definitely looking forward to the brutal face-off between Apple’s App Store and Cydia’s app store.
