That debunked rumor of Apple releasing a touchscreen netbook might not be totally false after all as the DigiTimes reveals in their latest report. Apple has contracted a Wintek, a Taiwanese-based computer parts manufacturer, to produce touchscreen displays for an upcoming notebook, but it doesn’t end just there. Quanta has been name dropped as the one responsible of collecting these new displays and will be the ones who will be piecing together this netbook. Granted that this isn’t the first time someone had speculated on an Macbook Nano Touch being developed, we’re a bit skeptical about this being true. However, with so many specifics and details being revealed in this latest report, this could have a fighting chance at being legit, and the good thing about it all is that we probably won’t have to wait that long as the second half of this year is its target roll out date.
