HiPhone must be kicking itself for not thinking about this first: TESO gives you the MacBook Air TESO, an almost eact replica of Apple’s MacBook Air, only with better air vents at the bottom compared to MBA. Hopefully, the MB TESO doesn’t run Vista, because we know next to nothing except that this MBA clone boasts a 12.1-inch screen compared to the 13 inches of the Apple MBA and will probably be powered by an Atom processor with 250GB of storage. No pricing yet. Apparently, the thin TESO laptop was recently launched in China with much fanfare.
Observations:
- The Air Teso is a true netbook with a low-power Atom processor.
- No mention of OS gives us hope TESO will be bringing in its own OS, possibly an OS X clone
- Teso didn’t bother knocking off the new MacBook keyboard and instead went with the old unfashionable one, though the black on white remains.

This is sick! The only thing I find detestable is the Atom processor. If Apple can squeeze in dual core inside the original MBA, why can’t TESO?

Not nearly as thin as MBA, huh, Sanjeev? Look at the fourth picture from the top.

How much would this be when it comes out. I’m thinking it’ll be a nice gag gift for a friend. I’d even send it to him in a Manila envelop and make him think it’s a real MacBook Air, only I see two problems with this plan. First, this TESO MacAir won’t fit in a Manila envelop. Second, it’s kind of dirty white color, not silver like the MBA.

[...] Astoundingly enough, we haven’t actually seen a barrage of MacBook Air clones. Which is pretty remarkable given that, you know, it’s a Cupertino-designed product. With such a huge opportunity staring it in the face, China’s own TESO decided to see what it could whip up, and what it whipped sits pictured above. Iconic glossy white Apple coat? Check. Impossible to miss MBA styling? Check. One single lonely USB port? Check. Too bad it threw in some low rate keyboard and a mismatched battery cover on the underside — we were almost totally digging this. Sike. [Via PMPToday] [...]
